I Have Been Accused of Having a Screw Loose

Usually it is while arguing for gun rights.  In this case, it was literally true.

The mill was squaring a spacer and when it reached the edge of the workpiece, the mill made an obvious drop off the edge.  Because I have previously noticed a few loose screws on the bracket that holds the motor to the Z saddle, I looked carefully and noticed one of the screws was literally bouncing up and down.  At some point, I seem to have replaced the 10-32 x 1/2 SHCS with a 10-32 x 5/8.  A washer did not really solve the problem.   I wonder if some of my problems cutting steel might be related to vibration caused by this insufficiently constrained cutting tool.
