This puts a QD swivel in the AR-15 handguard for attaching Harris bipods or any other QD swivel mount bipod. It was certainly easier than when I needed to do the same for an M1A some years ago. For that I had to machine a part, because what came with the Harris adapter would not fit. I transferred the Harris bipod, and it helped to relearn what was required to remove and install.
I bought the adapter from Midway, not Amazon. I am trying to taper off Amazon. Going cold turkey from Facebook was easy; I was never addicted (just chipping, to use the slang of a relative who used to be a heroin addict: growing up with "white privilege" was not easy).
