Over the weekend, Florida made international headlines when it reported a shocking number of positive COVID-19 test results: More than 15,000 in a single day.
But it turns out that report contained numbers gathered over several days by a single laboratory.
More than 7,000 of the 15,000 positive cases reported have been traced to GENETWORx in Richmond, Virginia. The company, which is Florida’s fourth-largest processor of tests, said in a statement it looks like the Florida Department of Health reported in a single day, lab results that had been collected over the course of four to five days.

Panic by Incompetence
Why do so many people distrust the severity of COVID? Because so many reports like this.
Is this the company that never took a blood sample that did not test positive for Covid-19?
ReplyDeleteI remember how when Rose Bird was Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court, it was said that she never found a criminal law case that did not have reversible error. Did she retire and go to work for this company in Florida?
The head of a Bangladeshi hospital was arrested trying too sneak into India. He was wanted on charges of taking money to falsify Covid test for immigrant workers to Italy, who has now bared air travel from Bangladesh do to a surge of people being found sick on landing, but carrying documents certifying them Covid negative. So we have testing sites that over count and others that under. Such an honest world we live in today.
