Profound Reminder of What Happens When the Criminal Justice System Fails to do Its Job
Aug. 13, 1875 Chicago Tribune describes a series of murders in Williamson and Jackson Counties in Illinois, none of which were mass murders, but are still sobering reminders of where anarchy leads--not a Heinleinian utopia like in The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, but just pointless murders.
