Proof That the Left's Control of the Media is Less Effective Than They Think

For the first time in months, Democrats and Republicans are tied on the Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot.
The latest telephone and online survey finds that 44% of Likely U.S. Voters would choose the Democratic candidate if the elections for Congress were held today. Another 44% would now opt for the Republican. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
A week ago, Democrats held a 48% to 41% lead on the generic ballot.

This is the first time the parties have been tied since May. The Democrats regained their lead in early June and have maintained it since then. In early July, Democrats led by eight, their largest lead since January....
Forty-three percent (43%) of all voters now say the country is headed in the right direction. This compares to the mid- to high 20s for most weeks during 2016, President Obama’s last full year in office.
Why it is almost like all this bad news for Trump is helping Republicans or at least doing nothing against the power of the steadily improving economy.   My IRA has grown about 28% over the last year, and I am sure many other Americans have been watching their 401ks and IRAs make similar gains.  And many people are less concerned about the MSM/Democratic propaganda than just being able to get jobs.  My wife and I have noticed how many places have help wanted signs out.   Many are places where employees are not contributing to IRAs or 401ks, but a job is better than living in Mom's basement.

More evidence.  8/26/18 NBC https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna903626 reports Trump's job approval rating remains "remarkably stable" at 46%.  Maybe because no one believes the swamp creatures anymore.  Some day a really evil person will get elected, and all this "BusHitler," "Romney will enslave blacks," "Trump is actually Hitler" trash from the DNC/MSM will bear horrible fruit.

  1. "Some day a really evil person will get elected ..."

First there was Bill, and then we dodged the bullet on Hillary's campaign.

Take heart; people really do learn from their mistakes.

  2. Premise: Everyone thinks of politicians as crooks, the difference from one to the net being largely that of degree.

If the media wants to portray itself as honest and neutral, then fine. A certain amount of lean one way or the other will be tolerated without seriously impairing their credibility BUT if the media overtly gets in bed with a pol, than it will be assumed by the public that the media in question is at least as corrupt as the pol it is in bed with.

At that point, anything the media reports will be automatically be taken with the same amount of salt as proclamations from the pols they endorse. Guilt by association, and probably well earned.
