A Serial Murderer You Have Never Heard Of

Georgia Tann.  Not relevant to my book, but tragically interesting, nonetheless.  My daughter, who works for CPS, told me about this monster, who with the assistance of local officials, kidnapped children from the 1920s through 1950, forced or tricked parents into giving up their parental rights, then made millions of dollars from parents who wanted to adopt.  Some who were not adoptable were murdered (with complicity of local doctors falsifying the cause of death), and some were victims of child sexual abuse.
