I Was Curious What Role B12 Plays in Moving Dietary Iron Into Hemeglobin
Then I saw that the name is cobalamin. Sure enough there is a cobalt atom inside a pyrrole ring. (If you do not immediately recognize a pyrrole ring, it is what holds the iron atom in hemeglobin, and the magnesium atom in chlorophyll, Finding a cobalt atom inside surprises me not all.
