A traditional argument for restrictive gun control is that guns are disproportionately used in murder in the U.S. There were 48,620 actors in the U.S. as of 2011; there were 132,930,000 workers in the U.S. as of Dec. 2011. Actors were thus .03% of the American workforce. Four U.S. presidents have been assassinated, one by an actor. Actors are therefore grossly disproportionately overrepresented among presidential assassins. I guess banning actors would make as much sense as restrictive gun control.
Just kidding, but useful next time an actor jumps on the gun control wagon.
Lots of, actors there. I wonder how many make their living acting?
ReplyDeleteI remember reading thatthe screen actors guild has 20-25,000 members but only a couple thousand whose primary income is from acting.
Apparently the guild has a great insurance plan
