Milo's Troubles

Milo Yiannopoulos, the gay British conservative (or something hard to categorize) is apparently in trouble for reportedly endorsing pedophilia.  His version is that these statements are being taken out of context.  For all I know, they may be.  He does enrage the left so.  But of most interest:
I am a gay man, and a child abuse victim....
I do not believe sex with 13-year-olds is okay. When I mentioned the number 13, I was talking about the age I lost my own virginity.
Those who have been reading my blog for a while are probably aware that there is a strong correlation between child sexual abuse and many other problems, including deviant sexual orientation.  Not necessarily  the only cause.

  1. Yes, and the sex nazis always ignore your last sentence so they can excuse and ignore their evil deeds.

  2. Yiannopoulos said, in effect, that he was not against adult male homosexuals having sex with teenage boys, and that such a relationship could be valuable for the boy. There is a grain of truth in that - if a boy is definitely homosexual (and a few are), and is very confused and frightened about feelings he is not supposed to have, a relationship with someone who shares those feelings and has learned to manage them could be helpful.

Against that, of course, is that fact that older males want sex with teenagers and will pretend anything to justify their behavior, including that the kid really wants what the old perv is peddling. (This includes hetero men who hit on girls.) A homosexual "chicken hawk" will always assert (and believe) that the boy really is homosexual, or "needs to explore", when the boy may be just desperate and lonely, or temporarily confused. The younger the teen, the more easily exploited, and the more the perv wants to rationalize his actions.

Yiannopoulos excluded thirteen-year-old boys, but seemed to be OK with sixteen or so. That's a nice distinction, and still a rationalization.

He has said that he is against exploitation of prepubescent boys, and has helped bust some men who do. I'll believe that, but it doesn't excuse his rationalization of lesser evils.

  4. I have to wonder though...if the priest had never molested Milo, would he have turned out to be gay or bi-sexual or straight? Did he convince himself he was "gay" because he found he enjoyed the sex, so ergo he MUST be gay. For a 13 year old I'd think that would be one way to mitigate guilt or embarrassment...convince yourself that this is what you really wanted.

Now only Milo can answer that question, and it would be a very, very soul searching experience. Not so sure anyone in his shoes would be up for it...
