Pain Diminishing
I think the many hours on the heating pad are paying off. My back still hurts, but tolerably. Acetaminophen, the only analgesic I am allowed because of my stroke history, is helping too.
Clayton, one of the problems with that drug is that it doesn't relieve inflamation, which is an important effect of some of the other NSAIDs.
The bad thing is that it has a history of damaging the liver, even at normal dosages. A research physician my sister worked for saw this when they did a study of VA patients back in the 70's. He warned her to stay far away from the stuff.
I wasn't aware of NSAIDs being contraindicated for prior stroke victims. I need to look into that.
