DeleteAlthough you don't need it now, I would suggest that the Statistical Abstract of the US is the first place to look for any kind of data like this.

I find the PDF versions of the books useful if I want to just look something up. Much of the data is also available as XLS if you want to be able to manipulate, sort or chart it.
