Winter Is Here!

While the new Jaguar has plenty of AWD, our driveway/glacier-in-training is slick enough that I ran out and had the studded snow tires from last winter put on the backup Jag.  Of course, studded means less contact area than the all-seasons, so on dry pavement, less braking and lighter steering, which is a bit unnerving.  But on this very slick ice, the studs grab nicely.  Perhaps I'll buy the studded snow tires for the new Jag for next winter.  As nice as the new Jag is, the backup Jag is still pretty nice.
