What has shifted notably are attitudes on gun control. Only 44 percent of Americans favor a ban on assault weapons, 19 percentage points lower than after the mass shooting in Tucson in 2011. And while 51 percent favor stricter gun control in general, that is down from 58 percent in October.

Are Americans Getting Harder to Fool?
From Dec. 10, 2015 New York Times:
Clayton,
ReplyDeleteI recently read a review of 'Guns Across America' by Robert J. Spitzer.
I have not read the book, but from the review, it appears that Spitzer is pushing some serious misrepresentations.
Here is the review link:

I would love to read a review of this book by you.
Here is my email.
ReplyDeleteDean: just left a comment calling Spitzer a liar.
ReplyDeleteThere should probably be an update to the Nazi posit that if you repeat a lie often enough it will become the truth. Something along the lines that in the age of the internet if you post a lie, eventually everybody will find out about it.
ReplyDeleteBillll: I wish that were true. If you find it on the
ReplyDeleteInternet and it matches your prejudices you will never question it. Everything on the Internet is 100% TRUE!
Thanks for the comment at that site. I am toying with the idea of getting a copy of Spitzers book so I could do a full review...
ReplyDeleteYou are far better qualified. Thanks for the link at your comment.
