hunting for a metaphor
I spent a bit of time trying to find an appropriate metaphor for a woman on the cruise wearing a see-through black lace dress with black lace underwear. I settled on "as subtle as a flamethrower."
What if she had dispensed with wearing the underwear---what would you call that?
ReplyDeletesubtle as an atomic bomb.
ReplyDeleteWas it a woman who really CAN wear such or one who definitely should not unless on a cruise for the blind?
ReplyDeleteTo paraphrase (slightly) Dave Chapelle: she may not be a prostitute, but she's sure wearing the uniform.
ReplyDeleteWas it a size-24 dress?
ReplyDeleteNo. Quite a fetching figure.
ReplyDeleteAt least there's that!
