King of the Beasts
Curiously, I can't find any uses of his phrase in books before 1800.
Curious. That's shortly before the beginning of the "Romantic era", as the literature professors term it, began. I've read that phrase in "Aesop's Fables", which should be earlier than that, unless they're fake old stories written by someone in the 1890's similar to Paul Bunyan. Nothing from the primers from Elizabethan times or later?
