CNC Mill
It's making all the right motions, although I have not tried cutting anything yet.
A couple of set screws on the Z-axis needed adjusting.
You'll want to make a safety enclosure for it out of an impact resistant material. My friend Jason tried to run his out in the open at first, but a broken bit leaving the mill with enough energy to penetrate drywall convinced him otherwise.
Plywood or sheet metal for the sides and 1/4" lexan for the front would work. As lexan sheets can be expensive. The protection does not have to be a full surround, just enough protection to catch or slow the cuttings.
One hint, turn the camera to landscape when shooting videos and turn it back to portrait for pictures.

ReplyDeleteMade from what? Lexan?
