Verizon Wireless: Great Instore Service
The Samsung Galaxy S4 arrived, but I could not figure out how to get the SIM card installed, so i went to the Verizon Wireless store in Meridian where one of their reps installed, activated my phone and set up my gmail account for me.
We switched to Verizon several years ago and continue to be very happy with their service. Mostly, things just work. But if you do have a problem, their people actually have a clue when it comes to figuring it out.
I used to use Verizon and their network is excellent. However, I HATED going into the Verizon store to get a new phone! The wait time was ridiculous and it was just painful. I finally got new phones at Best Buy. It was a much better experience.
I quit Verizon and got a Tracfone with a cheap Android phone. While it would occasionally be fun to have a nice smart phone, mine does what I need, I'm actually on the Verizon network, and it's about a third the cost of Verizon service. Phone support is usually at least an hour long ordeal so maybe I traded one pain for another. At least it's cheaper!
A place like Best Buy (or Sam's Club/Walmart/pretty much any store, including Amazon.com) will usually sell you a phone a lot cheaper than any of the carriers' stores will: I got my new LG G3 for a penny at Best Buy, but Sprint wanted $99.
