The Republican wave that swept over the states left Democrats at their weakest point in state legislatures since the 1920s.
Everything went in the direction of the GOP as Republicans seized new majorities in the West Virginia House, Nevada Assembly and Senate, New Hampshire House, Minnesota House and New York Senate, The West Virginia Senate is now tied.

Victories Across The Country
Too many to count. Republican control of U.S.Senate, improvements in control of House, and all statewide offices in Idaho. Even Balukoff's attempt to buy the governor's office with millions in advertising failed. The House will have 246 Republicans, largest majority since Truman. Republican governors in Massachusetts and Maryland, wow. The Democrats got beaten in state legislatures, too.
Unfortunately, I-594 appears to have passed in Washington.
