The Scams Never Stop
In my inbox today from PG&E. (The last time I received a legitimate notice from PG&E was in 2002, and it wasn't by email.)
I remember after I switched from my old elec co they tried billing me with an "Estimated" bill for 4 months afterwards. Even though I sent them proof that I had switched to another provider, but that they actually owed me 82 dollars. It took almost 17 months before I got my money back and I had to file a complaint with the PUC.
ReplyDeleteSame scam in my email. Amusingly stupid scam since I've not been a PG&E customer since ... well, ever.
ReplyDeleteVery clumsy.
ReplyDelete"Received" is misspelled.
Numbers are not justified or zero-filled.
Would anyone fall for this?
(Other than the senile.)
Rich, a lot of people fall for far dumber scams, its sad to say.
