New Hampshire Adultery Statute
Again, not a colonial leftover, but passed in 1791:
So you are finding lots of interesting laws about social mores in the Colonial era. Finding anything interesting about "arms"? No need to get specific, if you are saving it for a client or publication. I'm just hoping all this research is worth the effort.
Yes, indeed, I am finding gun laws, and they will appear in an upcoming online publication likely to be influential on high school and college students. None of the gun laws so far are exactly surprising -- but collectively, they add up. Is the research worth the effort? I'm getting paid a decent hourly rate to do something that I enjoy doing.
