If Americans behave like this over electronic slave goods, imagine how they will react when the food runs out.

Shameful Black Friday Behavior
One of the strongest criticisms of the materialist focus is how badly people are starting to behave. When I was young, scenes like might have been plausible because food was in short supply. But watching scenes like this, I can find myself in agreement with InfoWars.com (and that does not happen often):
I no longer believe that saving money is any part of scenes like this. It is more like a competitive sport. The winner gets in, buys a load of stuff, and brags about it all later. Plus a desire to be where the action is, sort of like how people slow down to rubber-neck a traffic accident, or gather to watch a house-fire.
ReplyDeleteTom, I think I agree. For many participants, the violence is not a bug; it's a feature.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the name of the Jerry Lewis film that had the bargain basement sale with the women practically tearing Jerry Lewis limb-from-limb to get the bargains? Like complaints about real-life events outdoing The Onion, this is another example of how what was once ridiculous exaggeration is now real life.
