  1. How big of a lot do you have?

  2. A bit more than 11 acres. Around here, that's not a big chunk of land.

  3. Is some of that too sloped to be built on or of much use, that is, hilly?

  4. It is almost entirely a hillside (almost a mountainside). Of course, because it is basalt, you can build on it. You just need to bring in some serious equipment to cut a shelf in a slope. I actually a more grandiose plan for the sort of house that I would have built if I was as rich as a liberal, that would have worked its way into the slope, but I'm not rich as a liberal, so I had to settle for something a bit more ordinary.

  5. Big country. Really Big Country.

If I owned the 11 acres around where I live, I'd have at least 400 tenants.

But I like it here well enough. (For one thing, I don't drive.)
