The Treatment Advocacy Center now has a searchable database of situations where a mentally ill person, because of the failure of the mental health system, ends up as one of the tragedies that I frequently discuss. This is based on news accounts, and includes not only the big, splashy tragedies, but also the localized disasters, too.
You can search it by state, by date range, and by various categories of tragedy.
It is pretty sobering.
