Please: Someone Tell Me That She Is Being Misquoted

Or I will have to start calling Bachmann a loon:
Michele Bachmann says if you turn Herman Cain's "9-9-9" plan upside down it becomes 6-6-6. "I think the devil is in the details," she said at the GOP debate hosted by Bloomberg and Washington Post.
There might be arguments against Cain's inventive plan, but I want something a bit more substantive of a criticism.

Huntsman's criticism comparing it to a pizza price is only slightly better.  Maybe the rates need adjusting up or down, but at least Cain is suggesting a simpler strategy for taxation than the current mess.

UPDATE: The video is here: she makes a substantive criticism of Cain's proposal, and she is clearly being cute.  Even Cain laughs.

  1. Yeah, they both actually said this. If that's the best they can come up with, it's time for them to bow out.

  2. Well, Bachmann's comment was a little flip, but, in fact, whether it is a good idea or not depends on the (so-far) unspecified details.

Taken in that light, she's right.

  3. No, she's joking. It comes at the end of a pretty thorough analysis of 9-9-9. Here's the video. See for yourself.

Even Herman Cain gives it a laugh.
