'The rise of the 'good-enough dinner': Why Gen Z is ditching the perfect meal prep for 'girl dinner' and 'boy kibble'...
"Even Harry Styles weighed in on these popular eating habits. During a recent interview with Brittany Broski’s Royal Court, he joked, “My sister always talks about the idea of girl dinner. Boy dinner, I've discovered, is just eating a rotisserie chicken over the sink.”
I find the infantilization of masculinity offensive - 'boy kibble', 'man cave', etc....
ReplyDeleteI have a study. And a library. And a workshop. Occasionally the cars get into the garage.
And I cook for myself, real meals. Last night, it was zucchini pasta, tonight will be a NY strip steak. Because I left infantilism more than a half-century ago.
I'm a guy; I will eat sitting in my car only in exigent circumstances.
ReplyDeleteI've long said that "Calories consumed standing up count double."
I also hate eating where I have to unwrap my food.
Sushi in those plastic containers that look vaguely like Bento Boxes are a gray area as is food from Panda Express.
