Actually, I have reason...The phones not ringing!

Actually, I have reason to suspect that doctors would do the opposite. A recent mass murderer here in Idaho did not get locked up after a suicide attempt. During mental health evaluation by two different psychologists, he told them that next time, he was going to take a lot of people with him, using guns or bombs. Three months later, that's exactly what he did.

Why was he released? Idaho law would have allowed commitment. I've asked some questions, and it appears that it was fear of being sued.Clayton Cramerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03258083387204776812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2807403883562053852.post-32959237304982774682011-01-12T10:58:22.524-07:002011-01-12T10:58:22.524-07:00Clayton, they will most likely be giving you a cal...Clayton, they will most likely be giving you a callback on that book now. But I'm wondering if you could expound in the future about the current medical industry and the fact that it's so different then the 1950s.
Today would Doctors be more aggressive in putting people away, because of the fear of lawsuits if they don't take action? Today's Doctors seem to over medicate etc. to protect themselves.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10256113419434789179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2807403883562053852.post-8880930345051161212011-01-10T19:38:17.145-07:002011-01-10T19:38:17.145-07:00Clayton-

It is very effective to respond so reasonably to everyone, whether they deserve it or not. I hope someone eventually shows interest in your book, I'd read it.MattJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07521394649468155883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2807403883562053852.post-1771143972368408822011-01-10T14:04:26.146-07:002011-01-10T14:04:26.146-07:00It appears that the Pima County Sheriff's offi...It appears that the Pima County Sheriff's office may be at least partially responsible for this tragedy. From the linked post:
Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system.

It true, this may partly explain the Sheriff's rush to blame virtually everyone but Loughner.Allen Cogbillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17859147855610271882noreply@blogger.com
