Another Lesson for You A Bit Behind Me Learning to Machine

 A few weeks back, I complained that Delrin was too slick for my mill vise to hold,  No.  The problem was that the piece was not square.  You cannot get much grip in a vise on a part that is not square.  Even some CFC parts were failing to hold for this reason.

  1. Medium soft rubber spacers will let you grip some out of square parts (up to a point) if you have to.

    The hard part is finding the proper spacer/pad resiliency level.
