They Better Check the Hardware Section Next

 9/4/21 Reuters:

WELLINGTON, Sept 4 (Reuters) - New Zealand supermarket group Countdown said on Saturday it has removed knives and scissors from its shelves, a day after a man the authorities called an Islamist extremist stabbed six people in one of the company's stores.

"Last night, we made the decision to temporarily remove all knives and scissors from our shelves while we consider whether we should continue to sell them," said Kiri Hannifin, Countdown's general manager for safety.

Police knew he was an ISIS supporter and were following him, but not into the market.  I hope there are no hammers, screwdrivers, or hatchets for sale.  I am sure the recent Taliban victory had nothing to do with this.

  2. they shouldn't ignore the pots and pans, either, particularly cast iron cookware. I think they may decide that the easily concealable, six inch "Sunday Morning Specials" will be the next thing they wish to pull off their shelves -- for the children -- and the wayward husbands returning home early Sunday Mornings.
